The USFA was established in 2005 by Randy Goodnight of Sharon,Pennsylvania after he was unsatisfied with the direction of the league his team was playing in. He wanted to form a league that players as well as coaches and owners were proud to play in and he wanted the league to be fair for everyone that was involved. With this vision, the United States Football Alliance was founded.
The goal of the USFA is to give athletes the chance to showcase their talents and earn an opportunity to play at the next level - whether that is college or professionally. Athletes in the USFA are not compensated and therefore retain their college eligibility. Not only is the USFA a great place for players to refine their skills for the next level, but also a means for football enthusiasts to continue to participate in full contact football after their high school, college or pro career has come to a close.
